This is a lovely view with a mood of peace and beauty.
A place I would sit and just Breathe in the fresh air and take in the beauty of the blue water, green foliage and just sit and be still.
Lovely painting Suzanne =)

A simple color palette was used, which I like, as well as well as a lack of bright colors. It reminds me of lakes I used to fish at. I would add something in the lake or sky though, as they feel empty.

This is quite a wonderful spot. I would love to be sitting on the shoreline having this grand view. Your acrylics are fabulous with light and shading. Grand detail over your image as well. Thanks for sharing! Good Luck!

a very interesting read , Suzanne, as I like the DOF seen in the mountain as it's reflection gives the water a nice blue tint to the water.
as the partly clouds sky does not add to much to the water.
it must have been a nice ride the way you describe the cruise with friends.
as the trees look great for the spring time as the bigger one is by the water as the other one could be a seedling from the older tree.
a very calming painting. thank you for sharing.
always,
ron

I too have had the joy of visiting Scotland's lovely lochs and remember their beautiful colors. Such peace and rest full views as shown in your painting. You have definitely captured my memories accurately. What a wonderful place to visit for a vacation. I know you enjoyed it greatly. The detail in the trees and area around them is very nice. Well done

So very realistic in your work of the loch. You have captured well large trees teetering on brink of waters edge as we are taken to far off mountains over calm surface. A real honest painting of my countries scenery. Love to award six but please assume it was. Sorry none left.

Wow! You must be in a very pleasant artistic mode painting this landscape as it turned out so crisp & clear--so neat!
An interesting initial impact.
Fine detailed features.
Visually soothing with cool colors. The earth tones are rendered excellently that you can almost feel the surface textures!
Impressive entry. Potential voters choice... Thanks & Best of luck in the contest!

This certainly is beautiful and the story behind this painting is lovely. It must be an exciting moment. The two trees interest me the most. I like the color, texture, and shape.

Well done and thanks for sharing.
