Great photo. reminds me of the old adage "chasing ones shadow". Good composition and nice placement within the frame. The little flash of whit on his bill helps him stand out and the shadow itself adds interest and depth. Nice job!

Well I must have missed this shot in January sg so am very glad you brought it back b/c it is really really well done.

Just spot on crisp beautiful focus. Perfectly detailed from the tip of his beak down through his toes. The most lovely colors AND a perfect shadow. Well, it can't get much better than that sg. Nope, wait...lol...wonderful notes and a most appropriate title as well.

Just a wonderfully done up piece. Not sure if the contest is now or was in Jan. Best of luck if it's now and regardless of the contest you and this guy get one of my sixes. Love it when I can learn something AND see a really good image too.

I really like how your angle gets the light casting the shadow taller than the bird and the position of its legs. Great clarity on the face and neck too.
