This is indeed a beautiful portrait of a baboon, and especially the fir and the eyes are captured well. It is also standing out really well against the background. Strange that we can see both eyes when it is showing such a great profile at the same time.
Your focus on the face is spot on and pin sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen. It is also lovely the way the light is falling on the animal's face.
The tight cropping works so well, and the baboon has got a fine placement off to the right. It is a beautiful and well taken portrait, and with an excellent DOF.

wow, what an honor Annie! I did work at this one as the baboons were too close to the fence the first time I walked by. but when I walked back he had moved further away and was allowing one of his congress to groom him. thanks so much again!!

Wonderful capture of this handsome male Baboon watching over his congress. You can imagine what he's thinking. The softened background works very well and your lighting and focus shows great detail in his markings. Great composition. Suzanne

You did extremely well with this baboon, ours has just had another baby which is about 5 weeks old. Love the lighting of the side portrait which highlights the very wiry hair. Nice job shooting through wire. :) Mary

What a wonderful shot - the lighting and the colors are wonderfully artistic. The angle at which you have captured your fellow is quite grand as well. Great detail over his body as well so kudos on the focus. Thanks for sharing.
