High drama at the quay side. From the dress and equipment on his belt it is easy to surmise this no enthusiast fisherman.

You timed your shot expertly. Isolating him as you did makes the shot. This take tells a story and is pleasing to look at.

As usual your camera technique is top drawer. The facial detail is excellent, everything he is can be read in his face.

An excellent shot thanks for sharing ... B-)) Bob

This is really a great shot Fred, and the body language of this fisherman is unmistakable. You are right, it must have been a big fish. Your stop action is just perfect, and I especially like that so much of the fishing rod is showing. The guy is also standing out from the sea and sky in an excellent way.

Your photo is really sharp and it fine details to be seen in the fisherman's clothes. I also like how well you have captured the expression on his face, and how the light is falling on it. The exposure is spot on.

I like the way you have cropped the photo and the fisherman has got a very good placement within the frame. Indeed a great looking and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Well what ever is on the end of this line must be vey strong as you have captured the power its taking to hold the fishing rod giving a good action shot, good composition and natural colors. Also taken at a good angle.

Oh my. Did he get pulled in? That would have been a wonderful and embarrassing image to capture. The action in this photograph is very good. The intensity on his face is apparent. Well done...again.

That is one large pole and fish. The intense look on his face tells the story. I hooked into a 9 lb. walleye and thought I had a whale. The vertical scene allows for rod movement and landing this monster. Nice rich colors of the water.

I love the action in this. You can almost feel the pull of the fish on the line by the way his back and the fishing pole are bent and how his right foot is lifted. Excellent focus and framing. Great job.
