Woah! It certainly looks like this guy caught a big one. Love the bent pole and the arched back of this fisherman trying to haul the big one in. The mind of the viewer can visualize all the action going on. The image definitely conveys a story. Love the lighting and how you caught this guy in mid-pull. Very Nicely Done!

Lots of candid action in this photo, and the blues and bright orange are ideal colors for this sporting image. I can feel the tension in the fisherman's posture!

Excellent action shot and very apt title for this. Love the pose you caught with the fisherman bending over backwards as he tussles with the fish. Very good lighting and focus showing great clarity. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

Very nice action shot. I like the look on his face as he's trying to pull in the big one. Great color tool the orange vest really stands out in the shot. Thanks for sharing.

Nice action shot fred, and you caught the fisherman just at the right moment, think if it was me would crop of just at the top of the two rods, think it would make more of the fisherman in this..brian

Good Morning Fred, I like the image you have captured here; you have caught that moment of excitement and anticipation. What I find really compelling about this shot is the way both man and rod and angled in the save curve. The subject (with that orange jacket) really stands out well from the background and the colors in the background are just vibrant enough without being overcooked. While I do wish I could see the end of the rod - I don't believe that minor detail takes anything away from this fun to look at image.

a great catch, for the action photo contest. as I enjoy the DOF as you see the color changes in the water as I have enjoyed it a few times down there.
as it looks like he has a great fight on and his stance keeping the pole up not to lose the catch and slack could easily do.
great job.
always,
ron

Your wecome supergold as it looks like a great fight for the length of the poles as I have a few 12 ft ones but are getting dusty.
