Initially I thought how could someone take such a beautiful shot of such an animal without it not being in a zoo....as I continued reading your notes, I found out you were on safari....now that explains it. This shot is just mezmerising...The eyes and how it is looking at you....her ears...her mouth, the entire expression she has that you captured so awesomely (is that a word?) in this portrait....I am delighted you decided to do only the head and only a small part of her body and not her entire form with legs. This shot is just perfect the way it is....with the blurred background....there is just something about it...I truly believe it is her eyes. You were able to capture a look that one rarely sees...eyes are the windows to the soul, and you, I think, came the closest to a wild animals soul, that others no matter how many photos they take, can never seem to get. You can be proud of yourself with this photo. I hope you win. You certainly got my entry beat....(smile). I am voting for yours. I cannot stop looking at this photo. Thank you for sharing. I commend you in every aspect. Talented photographer. This is a photo that will take you places.....I am sorry I kept saying SHE when you specifically said HE....I guess it just looks like a she to me....
