You have for certain found a fine flower to photograph for this contest and with the kind of petals in a Chrysanthemum, it for sure looks like a flower put together by flames. The dark background works so well, and the shining flower is standing out from it in an excellent way.

Your photo is also nice and sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the flower. The light is falling on it in such a lovely way, and the exposure is perfect.

The tight cropping works well, and the flower has got a fine position within the frame. This is indeed a lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Awesome shot! I would say it looks more like an explosion! The dark background especially makes the flower look almost like a firework. You capture great detail and depth of color and the bit of stem makes it known this is a flower and not fireworks.

Definitely fits the theme of the contest don't think you can get more orange than this dahlia? Like the lighting highlighting the various shades within the flower. Creative presentation. :) Mary
