A rare glimpse of lioness motherhood. Very nice composition and cropping. The contrasting fur colors of the mother and cubs is interesting for those of us who especially love cats. And the best feature is that you showed the mother's calm eyes.

Motherhood at her best. The mom looks a bit tired and worn out but still hangs in there for the kids. The contrast of the light lady and ground with the darker cubs really create a DOF that really works well for the viewer. The tight crop makes this an intimate moment.

The shot displays the relationship between the mother lion and her young, showing the tenderness of animal nature. I think pictures of animals doing caring things for each other have a special kind of attraction to them, because they display the universal qualities that are part of the image of the Creator who first made them.
