LOL...what a charming situation THAT would be sg....OMG!!!
I am sooo envious. Would LOVE to see Victoria Falls. Quite a shot here. He is perfectly detailed....from those sharp teeth on through all the folds in that skin. The rocks are crisply and sharply shown as well. Nice, natural color. Good exposure and a most interesting PoV sg. Oh and laughed out loud at your title as well.
Just love your educational posts sg!

At least it is pretty obvious you should not take a swim here. LOL It is also pretty obvious that this guy don't need a dentist. I especially like the close and personal approach, and how well the gator is standing out from the background.
Your photo is also nice and sharp and it is clear details to be seen in the animal. You have also brought out the fine textures of the skin, and the exposure is perfect.
The way you have cropped the photo is working really well and the animal has got a fine placement within the frame. Indeed a fine looking and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

Yikes, yep stay in boat and pray motor keeps running. He has some nice white chompers for sure. And nice big ones at that. How big was this one? Great shot and nicely framed in. excellent focus and colors, and wow on initial impact. Thanks for sharing, Lynn

We were in an area last weekend where there were signs to watch out for Crocs..But we never found one.
This is a very cool capture with Crocs mouth open.
If it was open while he was resting,they believe it is to stay cool or to be ready for whatever crosses by.
Nice lighting and nice eye clarity.
Great shot Fred :)

Crocs in the Everglades ? not rather aligators ?
thanks so much for your kind comments

Now Fred...You know I know my birds and Reptiles.
I was by the ocean... And yes...We have Crocs here.
Alligators are fresh water. We have Crocs here called Salties.
The ocean was on both sides of our walking trail.
I was not in the Everglades.

Great shot Fred. Hmm, if the boat goes out the two choices are not good. I guess a third choice is the answer: If there is a really obnoxious person on the boat, toss them into the water to keep crocks busy as you swim for it! LOL Very cool shot here Fred. Kudos ~ Steve

excellent idea Steve;
the only problem: I think that the captain, looking like a gorilla, was much stronger than me.......;

Nice capture. Focus is sharp as I really don't like the looks of those teeth. Fine detail on its skin, good lighting and color. I liked the write up on this one and I would really prefer the boat. Slight odds is better then no odds. Thanks for sharing.

Good Morning Fred, the overall composition / subject matter is top notch as this character certainly demands attention from any reviewer. LOL You have captured that moment of intimidation whereas one appreciates all those sharp teeth. The colors are true and the textures in all elements (subject, rock and grass) are well captured.

Catching this guy with his mouth open emphasizes the intimidating nature of this creature. Those teeth really stand out, and the texture of his scales do too.
