I like the intensity of expression behind this gull's stare. Great selective focus, rich lighting and appealing overall composition. I can almost hear the seaside lull of the water ebbing and flowing as well as feel the brisk air.

Wow! You really got this shot in mid flight. How gorgeous he looks with his wing spanning so far and wide. He is coming in for a landing or to grab dinner. Whichever, it is a great shot.

Everything about this photo screams perfection. The foaming waves at the top of the frame draws the viewers' eyes to the glorious wing span of this beautiful seagull. The lighting is superb. Excellent.

I feel like I just entered a 3-D movie! Don't know your physical position while you photographed this bird, but seeing the bird's top feathers while in flight is truly memorable. I also like the churning waves. Photo composition an A-plus! This is a great example of "gray colors can be interesting."

What a great capture Fred. The placement of the bird is just right. Excellent focus giving us the sharp details of the feathers. The highlighted leading edge of the left wing and the head really makes the bird stand out. Very nicely done Fred ~ Steve

You have a talent for finding animals at the right place at the right time for photographing them. This shot is great how you were able to capture the bird in mid flight at such close proximity to get all the details in. The water coming in at a diagonal angle works really well here too. I can see this photo in National Geographic.
