A great shot Ron. I like the placement of the boat in the frame as it leads the eye to where it is going. The catamaran in the background adds a nice sense of balance to the scene. Very nicely done Ron ~ Steve

    Hi iPhone,
glad you enjoy the shot of the charter getting ready to hit the inlet.
glad you enjoy it as they stay about 30 ft. away from the jetty.
glad you enjoy it and pointing it out for me as I learn.
thank you Steve for viewing and your kind review.

Oh boy, would I love to be aboard. The crop gives the boat plenty of room to travel through the scene. The small wake gives the feeling of movement. I hope the trip was successful. Blue skies and water nicely divided with the tree line.

    Hi FBI GUY,
I bet as it looks like a light passenger day and plenty of room for the day and less tangles depending on what they where going for that day trip.
as it has been some time with meds. saying avoid the sun.
I did only crop some of the back as it was just open water showing it's small wake but was a calm morning.
yes the 5mph wake zone lead to a small imprint with the calm water as the jetty is moving and needs shoring up soon as the have monitors on the jetty rocks for the last 5 yrs.
I'm sure they had a good day as they probably went wreck fishing as it was a day trip and probably back by 2 or 3 pm.
thank you for that insight as I did not know any of that when I took this picture. thank you for viewing and your insightful review.

a very nice photo of this boat, love the blue of the water and sky that match,,just the boat and the land kind of tells us the difference between the two, love how the far boat makes the closer one a balance in this photo,,

    Hi liseworks,
glad you enjoy the boat and color of the coming sunrise as I made my way back to the lighthouse.
the sun did not have enough power yet to change the sky color across the bay.
thank you for pointing that out as I will try to keep that in mind in the future as I learn.
thank you for viewing and your kind review.

The focus and color are super, the composition works well with the land mass anchoring the scene. To me, it's just not a very interesting scenario, very common here and i can't find a point of impact. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi paulah,
glad you enjoy the searcher as I got to the concrete walkway and hit the up cline shot for this one.
glad you enjoy the small island and moored catamaran as it took port for the night.
as you see the water have some movement as a boat passed in that channel and gets behind the searcher to get out the inlet.
as to the left is the fishing port of Barnegat light and a coast guard station as to the right is where the mainlanders get access to the inlet so a very busy spot as it is in the top 5 most dangerous on the east coast.
it is a pretty calm area being a no wake zone but can be fierce on rough days.
maybe you would enjoy a few shots from the top of the lighthouse looking down on the spot. thank you for viewing and your kind review.

    Hi paulah,
your welcome, as I would never think of taking pictures till I needed some peace of being a primary caregiver and go thru cancer at the same time and take time to see the beauty that surrounds us.
it is tough as all I have is the shore one way and a pine Forrest the other.
    wishing you a good day.

I am so glad you told me about your situation. Mine is similar in that i have Parkinson's and no longer drive. No photo is taken in a vacuum but when presented in the FAR format that's what we get...In my advertising career, it was routine to be able to set up goals, background, details while presenting the photograph. Best of luck to you.

    Hi Paulah,
I have 66 or more but a few where cut out so tough but lost mom last year as it was tough having 3 rounds of radiation pills and diets 1 year and mom 5 rehabs in 3 1/2 years as it was tough being the main caregiver despite my own issues.
Sorry to hear about your condition as well and hope you are doing the best you can with it as it must be tough for you.

Still trying to get used to it and settings as the early light would always get me and delete many ones I thought would be great but low light conditions.
as I only had sat/sun mornings for 2 1/2 years. now have time but no thyroid the weather is an issue as well.
so trying to do the best I can and share them with the med. site as a lot around the world enjoy them.
    thank you.
    wishing you a good day.

I love all of your picture and your adventurous you take me to so many places. I love your picture and how clear it is I can not only see your subject but my eyes also travel to the second boat in the back along the trees. It also looks like a calm day for you

    Hi Jayden,
Glad you enjoy viewing the charter boat going out for the day.
glad you enjoy places about 30 to 40 minutes from my house as nicer shots would take a lot longer to get to.
glad you enjoy seeing then as they get ready for the day as the other boat they are probably sleeping.
it is a very small island as the trees get around 12 ft high. but a good breaker for the incoming sea.
they may look bigger but there is a bunch of sand making them look taller.
glad you enjoy viewing it. thank you for your review, and kind rating.

What a nice looking boat. I like the shining lights on it and that there is a boat in the background. The framing is balanced well and the colors are nice.

    Hi Envision,
glad you enjoy one of the smaller charters as it looks pretty empty and plenty of room and less tangles or change sides after it anchors, as some time may float with the tide depends on what is running.
it has a slight sun glow as the sun comes up , and glad you enjoy the one anchored before setting off after breakfast.
as this is a very busy spot and the wake from 2 sides you need sea legs.
thank you for viewing and your kind review.

As is this is a good shot. I think it could be even better if you hadbumped the iso up to maybe 400 so you could get a fstop of maybe 11 or so to make whole think a little sharper. mabe a tad more contrast too

    Hi jbravo,
glad you enjoy the shot, I did not know of those features yet and am learning about them now from here.
I hope to get a class in the spring to help to become better at them.
thank you for the tips as I will keep them in mind in the next ones I try to get as some leave for the winter and head south.
thank you for your insightful review.

Sounds delicious and fun too. I really like that you have the boat heading into the picture, not scooting out on the right side. Focus great, exposure also good. Really nice work.

    Hi fotogran,
yes it is as we used to go out every weekend in our 20s.
glad you enjoy that as I was headed for it as it headed out.
it was a few shots as I got ready to leave for the day and drive back home before the day traffic.
thank you for your nice comments and great review.

Nice sea shot posted here! Looks like quite a nice craft to sail on or to see!. Your composition gives it plenty of sea to sail into, its sharp and well exposed. Nice work!

    Hi nikman,
glad you enjoy the last of the bay as it is 200ft from the inlet opening.
it is a nice smaller charter to go out on as 5 are bigger and one a catamaran Miss Barnegat Light as it is the fastest of them.
as the smaller charters are about 25 to 35 faster but 6 to 10 people and not much resting area and crowed tables to eat as people snag the spots fast.
glad you enjoy the clarity of it like I do but used it for a story as I searched med stuff up. :-)
thank you for viewing and your kind review.

Great balanced photo, capturing a hint of the sunlight reflecting of the boat, and also the overcast sky as well, creating an atmosphere that's very tranquil I think. I like the overall leisurely atmosphere too, looks like a party on the boat too.

    Hi Andre Three Thou,
thank you for pointing that out for me as I will keep it in mind.
yes the sun was to much blowout by now as I walked back in from being over 2/3 out on the jetty in the inlet.
it may seem like that but was pretty clear but the sun was still to early to brighten it up.
glad you get the tranquil feel from it as that is what I try to catch for the other site to view.
glad you enjoy it as they may start by 10am but not this early as coffee is ready for the late nihght for some. but is nice to have 30 minutes from the house to get some trips in.
thank you for your kind insightful review.
    always,
    ron
