Well, I have decided to review everything in a contest before voting so here goes...

My first though was... Powerful angle to the shot. The detail is wonderfully offered up to us. Great color and lighting as well. Great shot for the contest. Thanks for sharing. Good luck!

I was surprised to learn that pork is a major protein in Goan cuisine, so I guess I can easily believe mining iron ore is a major industry. A nice shot with great colors and fine details. Best of luck in the contest.

NO. That is not the problem There are some fundamental Hindu activists in India who are against Beef eating. Cow is considered holy in Hindu religion and killing of cows is bound to bring a lot of misery to poor farmers who are dependent on the cow for their living. Besides milk (A2 type) from Indian breed is considered best in the world. This is not the case with pigs. Goa being a majority Christian state, there were rumblings some time back. But now that has simmered down . Actually Goans are also against iron ore mining as they pollute the atmosphere and deteriorate the natur's bounty in Goa which relies mainly on tourist income!
