What make this picture so special is the panoramic look at this industrial site. The silhouetted foreground is perfect to draw the eye into the picture, across the beautiful blue water to the yellow and orange glow of the lights across the horizon. Excellent work.

This is indeed a fine entry for a contest like this, and at the same time it is also a very good night shot. I especially like the panorama format you have cropped the photo into, and also how well the rule of thirds is obeyed.
The silhouettes foreground is standing out sharp and well defined, and it is even possible to see details in the distant harbor area. I also think the exposure is spot on.
Your POV was terrific, and it is also fine leading lines in the photo together with a good balance in the composition. Indeed a great looking and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

This is a beautiful scene. Your colors are the initial impact for me. My eye sees your blue water first and then travels to the horizon line and the lights. The reflection of the lights in the sky is very dramatic. As is the silhoutte of the trees in the forefront. I'm sure I would have be obsessed with the straightness of the horizon....as there are multiple horizontal lines. You have done a fine job.
The choice of a panoramic frame is excellent as well. It tells the story of the expanse of this harbor. Excellent entry for this contest. You have made an industrial scene quite lovely. Good luck!
