Beautiful head on capture Grace!
You did well on camera techs getting a fin focus. I like the tight crop bringing us closer to this majestic bird.
White balance was handled well, but you do have some bright spots on the top of his head.
Nice work ;)

Love the way you captured the Eagle's wild fierce expression. As if he saying, "Don't you dare bother me I'm dangerous!" And he looks like it too for your photo doesn't lie for it captures his personality perfectly.
Great portrait of a bird of prey with fine details.

Such a fierce expressive gaze on your subject. Love the framing of the similar soft greys to offset your subject's head. Nice compositional strengths, lighting and focal beauty.

He looks quite annoyed about something out there! Your close up composition is very appropriate as it gives us a grand view of hhis head. Sharpness is fine. Your exposure gives us lots of detail for us to enjoy. Well done.

I am going to be truth and honest. I have seen 100's of photos of the American Bald Eagle but this is just awesome. Focus? I doubt it could be better. Outstanding lighting, excellent white balance. I do see a bit of white issue atop but that is minor as compared to the the color, the texture, the details and the clarity. The beak and the eyes are as in real time/life as they could be. This is just a beautiful portrait of a bald eagle. I this a mature adult or will it be this spring. You have done a very fine work here and thanks for sharing.

Woah!! This is amazing! I can't decide what the initial impact for me is...they eyes or the overall color scheme. I think the color scheme. The grays and the white with just the yellow beak add so very much to the drama of this capture.

Your details are sharp..yet you have portrayed the softness of the feathers. Beautifully accomplished!

The eyes are piercing and clear. Your framing is important here...and I like that you have filled a square frame with the face...as you say..there is so much to see in this head shot. You have kept just enough of the breast and wing feathers to give scale to this bird.

Your background could not be better chosen if it were a fake layer placed behind the bird. Yours is real...and perfect in every way. Nice job removing what light there was. This is a definite framer!!
