Well...I don't know whether to think positive about whether she showed up or not. He looks like a pretty interesting guy..especially with the hat and the pants rolled up above his black socks. And he surely is very artistic! Seriously...his design is perfect! As is your photograph. Besides your outstanding clarity of the design in the sand...You light has given us perfect beach colors. The two shades of brown in the sand moving upward in your frame to the lavender into blue into whites and into grays is beautiful. Not only because of your exposure but because of your perspective. The diagonal of the horizontal lines..meeting right at the left frame is quite an amazing effect. That upper third of your screen has added movement to this scene...as well as the shadow and position of your Suitor.

Such an excellent post for this contest and in anticipation of Valentines Day! :D Good luck!

Thanks for your detailed analysis of the image and the suitor. Maybe this gent has a history of making these pieces and then goes out to find a girl to show it to! Dunno!

Again your insight gives me something to think about. It makes posting fun and the reward comes back in the form of positive feedback. Thank you!!

Why can't we know?? You've got me hooked on the story and there's no ending?? Hahah great photo though. Definitely fits the competition! The clarity is perfect, and I love that you've caught a soft wave breaching the shore in the background. Great natural sun lighting. Well done!

The prospective fiance did not know why she did not show up either. Heartbroken as this was going to be his surprise "big question". We left the scene shortly after.

Thanks for the review and comments.

She never showed up? Well. that was mean. I doubt one would want to be married to her anyway. Your image, however, is sharp, well composed and does indeed tell a story. Very nice work!
