Breakwater on the beach

The air full of mist and the rolling water is well captured. The power of the water slamming into the break wall gives a feeling of the power of the sea. The leading line of the break wall gives a nice obstruction to break up the scene. Nice job.

This certainly is beautiful. Texture and pattern of the moving ( flowing) waves ( water) are delicate. Easy to enjoy. Coloring pleases eye. The most beautiful of this painting is nature concern behind it.

Well done and thanks for sharing.

A lovely image that provokes feelings of both fondness and respect towards Mother Nature. You have effectively created movement in the water with whitecaps and splashes. The rail leads us into the water where we are possibly cautioned by raising waters as the rail becomes submerged. The brown of the beach along with the landscape in the horizon, frame the activity naturally and aesthetically. Beautiful. Kathy

The waves and sea have a very pleasant, energetic feel to them. Definitely moving but still manageable. Colors are right, you've captured even the translucent arc of the bigger waves. Breakwater is an important element of your framing and it breaks across the scene in without really interfering with the waves. Good luck in the contest.

Awesome painting, with great details for such a small canvas. I didn't know water soluble oil paints existed. Great color blending with the water, great harmony with the various blue hues going on. Did you use a photo or imagine this?

Thank you very much for your great review Andre. I used different photos and also imagination as I do live on the coast and we do have these breakwaters. I like the watermixable oils as you can still blend them and don't have the smell of Turps, etc. You can clean your brushes with water and also mix the oil paint with oil if you want a thinner paint. Also they dry quicker than regular oils which is a bonus when you live in a small bungalow as I do!

Good composition with nice water color . Great sky color representation and distant cloud group. You can almost see the windblown mist coming off the crest of the waves. Nice job!

I recognize the beautiful work of these waves :) Your blending of the colors on the water are very nice. I also think you did a nice job on the wooden texture and reflection. The clouds and sky looks so real.
