    Hi Dale,
glad you enjoy viewing it as it is a more powerful spillway than most around here.
glad you enjoy the cropped look as I kept my eye for the moving water.
glad you enjoy looking at it and nice review. thank you.

Looks like some kind of industrial scene presented here! Like your central composition of the flowing water. Your shot is sharp and the exposure adequate. Good luck!

    Hi nikman,
I'm sure they had to drain the lake a bit to get the pilings in holding back the pressure.
glad you enjoy the position with it's nice flow as the outer water gives you that feel.
thank you as I did not know about the sky with the color but the natural color looks just the way it is. thank you for viewing and your kind review.

What drab natural colors! Daringly creative entry. The center of the photo, holding the main subject, is just right-for journalism and creative posts. Excellent detail and depth of field - the pressure point for the pouring water is very clear. Thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest.

    Hi paulah,
yes it may have been brighter on a sunny day but was a damp dec. day as I decided to drive to spots I have not seen in some time. glad you enjoy it as it said running water as this seems good for a small area to show it.
thank you for the insight in your review pointing that out.
glad you enjoy the way I cropped it being the main focal point.
glad you enjoy it as you get a glimpse of brackish/cedar water as it is cold.
as long as you don't where white or good cloths for swimming as the water will dye them within 5 minutes and impossible to get clean.
thank you for viewing and your insightful review.

Thank you, as it is neat to go back to old places I have not been to and some places the creeks are big enough for a canoe trip as there is 3 places just 1 close.
your welcome as it came to me but give a reality of it as the grond goes down towards the coast.
    thank you.

What an interesting photo! I've never seen something like this before! This is a great angle; great clarity and "action shot". I wish it was a bit brighter, taken on a gray/dreary day I assume? Anyway, still cool!

    Hi edukatemenot,
glad you enjoy it as I had 4 to chose from but liked the power in this one.
they are close to ones that would be in the cranberry bogs but have more of a earth retaining basin.
glad you enjoy it despite the gray day after rain just ended.
as the grey sky has the lake looking grey.
yes it was as the pink rose is about 10 feet from me.
as I took a trip 20 miles inland but is in the woods.
thank you for viewing and your kind review.

Aptly captured for the contest theme... Diminishing perspective. Vanishing viewpoint creates great depth.
An interesting initial impact.
An artistic rendition. Monochromatic colors. Excellent details & features. Impressive strokes & textures. Thanks for sharing...
Best of luck in the contest!

    Hi Dx,
glad you think so as it has a great flow and shows power.
I had views of the lake but 4 angles to chose as you don't see the rounded bulkhead as it is getting old and open spots have big leaks.
as the 18 inch view here puts a big hole as it drains into it, but shows the color of brackish water. or cedar water as some may say.
thank you for your review and kind insight for it.

    Hi MKFlood,
glad you enjoy the capture of some power from the spillway as the rain just stopped.
but the spillway opening is just wide enough to show the strength as it would be more with more water in the lake.
I had 4 shots to crop but thought this had a good shot showing it.
yes it is nice the put a walkway bridge as under it is close to 15 ft going down to 6 ft 20 ft. behind me.
glad you enjoy viewing it and your kind review,
