I am almost sure this is a Canna Lily, and it looks truly beautiful with the delicate pink colors. You have indeed pictured it well, and the flower are standing out from the background in the most excellent way.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing truly clear and well defined details in all the blooms, and the exposure is perfect.
The photo is also nicely framed and the blossoms are so well placed within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo, and with a very good DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

I believe it is a pink Canna Lily the red ones are common here haven't seen pink before and it is beautiful. The composition is great with excellent lighting and color. :) Mary

You're welcome, and I am doing good. I finally started selling my work on fineartamerica.com and crated.com. I am currently working on building a website for myself as well, plus I will find other websites to sell from. The website could still take a little bit of time though. I am doing good with school, I am taking intermediate drawing and college algebra. I have about two more semesters left until I am finally finished with this degree. All in all I am well. How about you?

Very pretty flowers! I do not know the name... I like that you've centered them in the photo. The angle from which you've shot this is unique. The clarity and coloring are perfect. I only wish there was a little more light on the flowers themselves... good shot though!
