A very good nocturnal nature shot posted here! Your full and central composition gives us a great look at the scene. You have a nice bloom there but the spider looks very weird to me! Besides being grey/white its legs look too thick for a spider. Well done on getting this interesting shot!

When he stood up and started swinging them at me Nik I wasn't sure whether to laugh or be frightened....lol...I laughed and dropped my light. I do appreciate you checking this post out and have to agree that the little white guy was most unusual...for sure. Thanks so much Nik.

I can barely look! My nemesis..ahhh!! So creepy - okay, I've composed myself enough to see that the colors and textures of this image are lovely. The intricate seed head is interesting to view. You did a good job getting good detail of the enemy too :) I have to look away now!

ahahaha...oh Grace this review made me laugh....the 'enemy' lol. OMG if you could have seen him standing up and threatening me. Well actually sounds like you might have fainted if you had. You are a PEACH then for having a look at this one considering how you feel about spiders. I'll post some of this beautiful flower and interesting seed head WITHOUT the little white guy...lol...OK??

Excellent choice of subject.
Perfect timing of capturing this unique arachnid.
A rare find!
Still gorgeous bloom even at her wilting stage.
Fine features & detailed textures.
Compact framing.
Subdued lighting!

Well, that is truly one ugly spider! Lovely flower, reminds me of the Climatis, not sure if spelling is right. Beautiful robust colors and intricate details of the flower are very well captured. Nice short DoF and even the ugly spider has good details. Thanks for sharing.

Come onto my flower said the spider to Deborah.
Excellent night shot! The spider is a perfect subject on this lovely flower. I don't know enough about white spiders...but I think this might be a crab spider. I'm not much on spiders...except for Daddy long legs...I always make sure to set them free if they are in trouble.
Your 5 petal flower is one that I do not know. It resembles so many 5 petaled varieties..even a swamp rose...except for that complex seed pod in the center as describe in you generous artist notes. I love your night shots. A pleasure to view!

ahahahaha...love that first line Becky!! A crab spider?? Well THAT gives me a place to start and I appreciate that. I remember typing in 'white spider' lol...there were so many sites to go through I simply gave up. The flower, on the other hand I know a TON about. It is amazingly beautiful. The blossom here is not at it's best but I wanted to show the little white guy more than anything. Will post better images of the flower. Thanks so much for checking this one out Bec and giving it ...and me...such a delightful review.

Certainly looks like a spider with attitude Deborah! Great capture showing him clinging to the petals of the lovely Lavatera bloom. The dark background creates a perfect frame. Very good lighting and focus. Great composition. Suzanne
