Enchanting. The reflection in the water is exquisite. The black background almost gives it a 3rd dimension. I like that you've presented it narrow and vertical. Great Job.

Rules are made to be broken. You have broken them so well. The vertical lift of the scene is fabulous.
Clean, crisp lighting, focus and cropping make this an outstanding scene.

Sorry, but I have to admit that I have never heard of these rules! I am even more sorry to say that even though you may have broken some rules you have produced a very beautiful photo, Well done and good luck!

A lovely photograph. I love the curve of the swan's neck and the way it is captured in the reflection. A very interesting method of rule-breaking. Nice selection of subject.

I like the composition but think that this is the rule rather than the exception to me. I feel that most nature subjects are essentially portraits and should be framed that way (vertically).
It is a nice shot with good colors and a decent reflection. Good luck in the contest.

just showcasing the first part of this swan is interesting, really like the focus on the water droplets on the bird, even in the reflection they can be seen, your background is real good to show us the reflection that way
