What a fabulous fellow - not sure how I missed him but I'm sure glad I came by to your portfolio! Your detail is perfectly played over his body - great capture on that eye and the color over this fellow is fabulous. Wonderful image. Gonna see what else I've missed! :-)) Thanks for sharing.

Very nice detail of this guy's face and feathers! The colors are nice and I like the tiny water droplets you captured on his back. Such an unusual beak that is interesting to view.

Great capture Mary! We have Grey headed here. Love the close up, fine exposure, controlled white balance on all colors, great crisp details and nice DOF.
I would only suggest you bought an the eye more.
Nicely done Mary ;)

Mary,
A beautiful portrait of the Purple Swamp Hen with it's eye catching scarlet beak & forehead it's neck feathers ending in a ruff of soft coloured purple feathers contrasting with the darker feather on the rest of it's body. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting, with soft blurred background. Taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Look's like a very fine bird portrait posted here! Just love that big red beak! Your full and central composition gives us a good look at him! The image is sharp with reasonable exposure. Well done!
