A beautiful bird in a great natural looking setting. The fact that he is consuming a pelletized bit of food gives away the captive conditions though. Great colors and very nice cropping.

    You are a clever one Mr. MichiganMike :) I don't get to see these guys in the wild so I have to visit them in captivity. Thank you for having a look!

Outstanding bird photo. I really like bird photos that show the bird doing something other than standing still. All your camera factors are dialed in nicely. Great lighting. You can always tell when you have optimum focus when there is a catch light in the eye. Congratulations.

Ok Grace, now you are talking. everything here is perfect.

The clarity, the DOF, your settings are great. Even that piece of food in the mouth.. excellent job my friend.

a wonderful capture Grace of this beautiful endangered species;
would be a six with more space at top rather than at bottom;
I like the diagonal framing; excellent sharp focus;

Wow...what a color! Love how you handle the lighting to keep the details of this yellow bird. His shiny eye is adorable. Good focus and frame.

Well done and thanks for sharing.

What a pretty bird and your shot of him Grace is gorgeous!

Perfect crisp sharp focus. He is beautifully detailed and look at that wonderful bit of sparkle in his eye. That lemon yellow color just perfectly shown too. Diagonal placement in the frame gives a wonderful view and spot on timing catching him just before his meal goes down the throat.

Wonderful image Grace. You are giving some of the other bird photographers a run for their money w/ images like this!

Deborah

Great capture of this beautiful Golden Parakeet perched on the branch holding his snack in his beak. I like the angle you used for this with the branch cutting diagonally across the frame. Very good lighting and focus. Lovely composition. Suzanne

A quite beautiful bird shot posted here. Its a great shame that their numbers are rapidly declining. Your shot has good composition, its sharp and well exposed. Well done!

a great shot of the Golden Conure, Envision.
great clarity in your photo as it is a real beauty and funny you captured food in it's mouths, as it gives me a smile. :-)
sorry to hear they are endangered as I hope this is in a bird sanctuary and a mate to have babies. a real pleasure to view. thank you for sharing.
always,
ron
