Nice capture of the waterway in Venice. Nice focus for nightime seeing the silhouettes of the gondolas, the lights along the two sides giving notice to the blue water and nice dof. Thanks for sharing.

It is so typical that I don't have any six stars ratings left when I really think a photo deserves it. To me this is a perfect and truly beautiful night shot, and you have managed to capture so well the atmosphere of this place at night. There are fine leading lines in this photo as well, and all the gondolas add a lot of interest.
Your photo is crisp and clear and it is such sharp and well defined details to be seen in all the buildings. I also think the exposure is spot on and the colors are great.
The format you have cropped the photo into works really well, and it is a very fine flow and balance in the composition. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo Fred, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

Wonderful shot of Venice at dusk with all the reflective lighting. The fading buildings rounding the corner add lots of depth. The vivid blue of the water marries well with the soft hues of red and orange . This photo is outstanding eye candy for sure. Well Done !!!!

Captivating. The glow of the lamps look like this was taken in the time before electricity and they're torches burning. The gondolas are well positioned drawing your eyes down the canal. Excellent composition and lighting.

Once shot with beautiful exposure and focus. The light on the water is beautiful and your composition is lovely. There appears to be a touch of noise in the sky that could be easily remedied in Photoshop.

This is an impressive night photo. The colors and especially the light draw the eyes. The angle of your shot is very interesting. It is intriguing how the view goes down, but the chanal curves up into the dept of your composition. Best luck for the contest!
