A beautiful still life picture of the Stilton in the jar & as a wedge set on the cloth spread out on the mahogany tablebeside the glass of Red wine in which we can see the chess & the room reflected on it's bowl, the two salted crackers & cheese knife add the extra touches. Artistic composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Oh I bet I know who this is...lol...it has your beautiful style written all over it. Good taste too... wine, crackers and cheese....perfect.
OK- your photo then. Just perfectly set up...everything arranged in the most pleasing manner. I love the overall color effect you've created....w/ the lovely rich dark wood and patterned background behind the wine. Focus is absolutely spot on crisp throughout and the texture you've managed to convey in a one dimensional photo is something else...from the crispness of the crackers to the smoothness of the wood surface and the crumbly cheese....just wonderful. Perfect exposure and crop.
Such a simple still life belies the obvious effort you put into getting this shot just right....the mark of a careful and considered photographer. I don't see a single thing I would change....add...or subtract. This is just perfect the way it is. So well deserving of one of my sixes....and lol I don't even like RED wine! Best of luck in the contest too.

I absolutely love this photo! Where did you shoot this? Did you set it up yourself? Great talent, if so! I love the topaz lens effect and the almost vintage feel to this photo. I would definitely hang this on my dining room wall! Well done!

Excellent still life. The composition is sweet. I especially like color palette, the selection of items work well with each other. The texture of the background wall sets a warm and inviting mood.

You have aged the photo and the cheese very well. The use of the post production filters have created a great scene that could be used for a menu cover or poster. The spot lighting gives us clear images of the elements. The darken edges force of line of sight to the center of the scene wishing we were there.
