This is a very nice image. I like the diagonal filling of the frame and you have captured the water very nicely. The colors are well saturated and the scene is full of interesting textures.

What a nice image. I can hear the gurgling of the water as it rushes over the rocks and down the hill. The texture of the moss on the banks shows up very well. Full marks for composition, focus and exposure. Really nice work!

Thanks a million for your detailed & complementary review. It was more of a roar than a gurgle that day.

A beautiful scene. And I so appreciate your artist notes. I can see the color that the peat is adding to the water. And the mossy green banks are very Irish in my imagination...as I have not had the pleasure of visiting there.

Your photo has given your viewer a clear and beautiful scene to study...nice techniques! And excellent framing with the water flowing diagonally through it. I enjoyed viewing this very much.

    Rebecca,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this "Raging River" in summer it can become little more than a trickle but ater rain & in this case snow as well it becomes a torrent.

A beautiful picture of nature in Britain at it's best! the colour and detail in the water and rocks are in great balance and the clarity of the water flowing looks so fresh and clear - love this one.

Historically we were part of the Empire but after 800 years of "Oppression" we won our freedom in 1916 & left the Commonwealth in 1949.

A lovely spot Susan and you have photographed it so well.

Beautifully detailed...your focus is spot on crisp. Colors are natural...nothing over worked. It is well exposed and cropped to lead up up (or down lol) along the rocky river bottom. I like your simple frame as well. Really nicely put together piece Susan.

Great shot showing movement and depth in the river. You have captured the bold colors of the moss and the sharp roundness of the banks pebbles nicely. The trees make a nice frame on the banks to pull our eye into the river. Great photo with great composition. Well Done!

A great take on a timeless ancient creek. Very good capture of the waters movement. The color contrast is excellent and the focused detail is excellent. I have found that streams and waterfalls somehow present better in portrait presentation.

Very nice water scene ... B-)) Bob

Excellent photo, love the green moss, the grass starting to grow close to shore, looks like spring? fast flowing water here in your photo is so nicely shown as clear and fast, the white moving water is fantastic, this looks like a stream though to me, interesting that they say its a river

    Lise,
Thanks a million for your complementary review & the SIX star rating.
The River Dargle rises in the mountains above Glencree & runs into the sea in Dublin Bay.
By American standards I'm sure it looks little less than a stream, where your rivers run sometimes thousands of miles to reach the sea. Here No river is longer than 300+ miles & many much less. I can drive from Dublin on the east coast to Sligo on the west coast in three & a half hours. From North to south it's takes a little longer.

yes,,since I live about 2 days away from the east coast in Canada and about 5 days straight driving from the west coast,,our rivers are large across, and our streams look like this, lol thanks for the geography of your place

Lovely shot here Susan. The stream leads us into the frame straight to the beautiful tree. The light is really lovely and your exposure and focus are excellent.
