The detail of this bird is fabulous! The focus is head long on target. A masterful use of your photo gear. A great pose looking you over with one eye. Sly!

This is just gorgeous sg. I could see this Heron portrait in a bird book.
Focus is so spot on crisp...wow...throughout too. Those long body feathers almost look painted on they are so perfect. Even the branches and dead leaves ard seed pods are perfectly shown. The lovely pale blue sky is an absolutely stunning backdrop for this guy....it looks as if he's posing for you....eye and head detail could not be better.
I was scrolling through looking for a place to land my final six of the week....lol...was debating on a couple when I came to your shot here. Easy decision as far as I am concerned. Just wonderful work from beginning on through to crop....so BAM!! It's yours sg.

This grey heron is quite the beauty all sophisticated in poise. I really find myself drawn to the angle of taking your shot as well as the framing of rich blues surrounding and complimenting his form. Nice focus, lighting and expressive draw, his gaze almost lending the impression that he feels you don't see him if he stays still enough.
