If only we could read their minds! He has that contemplative look in his eyes. I'd love to know his thoughts. He's adorable. Great shot. Good composition. I love the perspective you took this from. Enjoyable to view. Nice work! :)

A brilliant picture of your Chewbaca who looks like a Tibetan Terrier or similar I hope I'm not insulting him?
Juno~Dog would agree about the trees & no time to read the Pee-mails! Beautiful composition getting down to Chewbaca's level, beautiful framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques &sharp focus.

Thank you so much for your review. He is a spoiled Shih Tzu whom has great meaning. Long story but 8 years ago my Dad died in Az. I live in Ca. Took my weiner dog Bogie with me. Hubby stayed home for my daughter was in H2O polo finals in HS. 1 week to the day, after my dad and at his home memorial service Bogie passed away suddenly with a painful loud yelp heart attack in my arms outside. Guess my dad didn't want to enter Heaven Alone. Now forward 10 months I was fixing his home up in Az alone again. It sold. It was my 50th BD. By 8 pm I was beat. So I drove to Walmart in his small town in the Az mountains to get 1 slice of BD cake. Well, never got it. A lady was selling pups out of her Explorar and Chewy was a little 8 week fluffy mini bear. That made my day. Home he went. I have love him since. The town Lakeside, Az where I buried Bogie near a lake and a Bunny den in the snow of November.....God Blessed me 10 months later Leaving Lakeside forever with a new forever Fur Baby in the summer of August Rainbows. Yes! Chewy and I said goodbye to Bogie and a Rainbow appeared. If you go on my photos way in the beginning there is a photo of Chewy out of focus on the dashboard of my truck. Funny how God plans our steps. I can tell you are a lover of critters. So that is why I shared my happy story. Blessings Susan. Always, Cindy Sue ~

Cindy~Sue what a wonderful story on how Chewy came into your life on your BD! Juno came to me the same day I lost my beloved & very handsome Tiga~Puss a very large Classic tabby cat who was killed on the road. I took him to the Vet, then as I was about to leave I asked if they knew of a kitten or Puppy that needed a home....half an hour later I was driving home with my beautiful Juno~Dog aged six weeks who had been found wandering lost on a road near the coast. She is part Border Collie, part Springer Spaniel & Jack Russell Terrier..(She got the name Juno because she was born in June, There is a Play by Sean O'Casey about a couple in Dublin called "Juno & the Paycock." Lastly the Roman Goddess Juno) ....now 12 & a half years old & still full of her Puppy energy.

Interesting notes & initial impact.
Excellent choice of subject.
Looks like a very smart Shih Tzu...
Unique portraiture. Cinematic presentation.

I'd consider cropping a third of the upper frame as its against the light...
A light reflection would surely make his eyes more alive.
Good perspective & long depth of field...
Thanks for sharing...

Aww poor Chewy! Maybe that's on his bucket list? Great photo of him. The angle makes him look quite regal and macho. Wonderful clarity and natural lighting. Such a fun week for this little guy!
