Wonderful image with such beautiful color and lighting. You have given us a perfect look at your moment, this capture is fabulous. Great focus over the image as well. It is the view however that offers up grand joy. Thanks for sharing.

what a beautiful winter scene Deborah, directly out of a fairytale;
no snow yet this year in our area, rather a temperature like mid April;

Oh dear, Deborah, you must be sick of shovelling snow! This is a beautiful image of the white stuff with the sky showing a wonderful array of colours from the sun. Excellent lighting and focus showing great clarity. Lovely composition. Suzanne

    Ya know- a lot of people seem to have that same comment MK...."..looks pretty but not for me" lol so I guess I'll just continue to give people their 'snow fix' w/o actually having to live in it. Always appreciate having you check out one of my new posts. Thank you so much for having a look and giving it such a good review!

    im the guy laughing at these snowbirds when they start leaving the state in march. i asked one isnt it still cold up north. the comment back to me was that they cant stand the heat. heat? heck it dont get hot till july and august and that is only in the mid 90's..they should try memphis tn..this the best way describing memphis..imagine 100 plus degrees with a heat index of 105+ no wind, surrounded by swamps and lotta misquitos. if you ever seen "cat on a hot tin roof" that is a perfect example..so to me florida is one of cooler temp of all the southern states..wink.

    'snowbirds' ahahaha...what a perfect description and YOU are so right...hell it SNOWS in March so never could figure out why they come back then....plus there's 'mud season' and THAT is always lots of fun too. I'll have to post some of my 'mile of mud' I live with for about a month. Love your descriptions MK!!!

A very effective use of snow. :) The old aviator joke is that you pilot here and pilot there. The light is what makes this scene stunning. The soft morning light effectually highlights the snow laden boughs. The foreground leading up to the trees makes a most effective frame. Beautiful scene.

    Beautiful photos are my treat Gary for having to shovel snow for almost two days straight! lol Seems like a fairly good trade off I think. I do appreciate your time checking out my new post and giving it such a thorough review. Thanks so very much.

    Oh no Howard....lol..60's and 70's!! I don't even START to think of spring until April and it often snows in April too....thankfully, it melts fast that time of year. Do appreciate you checking out my snowy new post though...thanks so very much.

Another great glimpse of your backyard. This so takes me home. I seen this scene so any times and I never tire of it. Great depth, color gamut tight but well balanced. Detail/focus is spot on. Camera technique, composition and framing are all in sync.

Nice one PeglegDeb ... B-)) Bob

    I don't really want snow because I know what it like the have to move it off your roof tops ,( lived in the U.P. Michigan for 3 winters, 150plus inches), but I would like some to get pictures like this, love it
reply by the author on 20-Feb-2017
    The roof of my wood shed was actually bowed Dale....so you know what that's like. Beautiful photos are my reward for getting up there and shoveling. lol So glad you like it.
reply by dalebraatz on 20-Feb-2017
    yes I do, we live where I had to get up and shovel it off. my problem was stay on the roof and not sliding off, but it was a soft landing, only happened about every 3rd shovel.
reply by the author on 20-Feb-2017
    ahahaha..OMG Dale. Now THAT put a fun picture in my head. Your roof must have been tin? I have shingles...much easier to stay on.
reply by dalebraatz on 21-Feb-2017
    no it was shingles, just had ice under the snow just glad for the snow drift I slid into. have a great night
reply by the author on 21-Feb-2017
    I had an ice dam or jam or whatever the hell they call them too. Heat w/ wood only so get ice every winter too. You have a nice evening too Dale and thank you again.

A beautiful snow scene. I love the color of the sky and the line of the trees. The snow is beautiful and yet it has a warmth to it. A truly beautiful composition.
