interesting comment- when I was at Art College as a mature artist, many of the lecturers were very friendly- most just left me to it, as they felt I was already painting- but did tell me of their thoughts.. head of Foundation, wonderful man, taught me: to abstract you needs be able to take out from base drawing what you wish to show and I have stuck to that. Another lady lecturer, who was over used by lab st barths Hum Res pressure on her lungs remote and died from it- told me: these kids come on the degree, throw paint all over the place, wear fancy clothes and think they are artists that way without using their skills. However my first school, Grimsby School of art was very strict about passing standard drawing etc before we were allowed any further. Your flower is painting some interesting shapes from what I can see.

I love it! The details are fantastic, and I love the abstract story here. You know I have never been a big fan of abstract either for the reasons that you mention, but I do enjoy the two artists from this site that you mention. Thanks for sharing this funny and creative piece :)

Well, hopefully the painting will be in the eyes of the beholder. I mean I like fat women, there is something very beautifully abstract about them. That's just my perspective though. Yea I know what does that have to do with your painting? Hell if I know it's abstract! bunkie

Great job with the colors again. The head scratching flower seems to be having trouble appreciating the rendition of himself. The shadows really add nice depth and of course grounds them nicely.I like the weave on the background as it helps with the scale of the flowers. Always a pleasure to view.

perfect use of space - beautiful color range - I think your imagination is beyond - the scene you created is well defended, attractive - calm with this excellent background choice - the art piece stands out very well with all the colors and as always you had the perfect magic moment to get their face expression perfectly
