I know there are those who will look at this take and not be impressed at all. For myself having photographed weddings with the dreaded white wedding dress I am very aware of the difficulties with getting fine detail on a large white surface.
You have kept the detail of the wood grain intact, plus the brush strokes. You also kept the details of the molding sharp and prominent. Excellent camera technique for difficult subject.
From the look of the framing, I would guess you were off to the side when you took the shot, was that to get the shadow on the right? If that is so, well it worked, nicely done. Not as a need for improvement, but just as a thought for another time - use an off camera flash above the square aimed down.
Good luck in the contest ... B-)) Bob

Thank you very much. Your throughout review is an encouragement for me. You are right about the shadows. For the request of the contest I had to post an unedited photo, more than 75% of the entire photo being white. This easily gets boring for a viewer, so I needed something to make it a bit more interesting. Thanks for the tip, but I do not own a of camera flash. I rarely use artificial light other than candles or covered table lamps for indoor photos because I find the shadows to hard.

It most certainly is White and it makes for a pleasantly unusual and very 'Fun ta' View' picture too!
