I am glad you went and took this ones image and shared it. Really good white balance control on this one to get that white face. Focus is very good, detail is very well noted, great lighting. Now that is a pose to remember. Nice gleam in the eyes. I think it admires you. Nice work and thanks for sharing.

Lazy critter, but cute. How'd you get him to pose like that. Color and lighting are nice. Great composition, framing, focus and dof. Interesting story. Thanks for sharing.

They are nocturnal so he is being lazy during the day - and cute all the time :) Thank you for having a look and for your nice comments!

Grace, an excellent shot of this wonderful coated red panda. You captured this in a perfect pose and love how wonderful his whole being is here. Perfect clarity and wonderful coloration.

I feel bad for the ones in the wild. They catch the for their coats and they are not even killed before they start to skin them. I will have nightmares of that till the end of time.

I love zoos and sanctuarys for that reason. We get to see them healthy and happy :)

I know how horrifying those thoughts are! I can't imagine how a person can do that or any kind of barbaric poaching, and that is part of why they are classified as endangered - poor babies. I think I neglected to add their endangered classification in my notes - darn! That is also why I am grateful for sanctuarys. I have mixed feelings about zoos but in the end I think they are better for some animals. Thank you for the review :)

Judging from your notes it seems to me that not even the experts know how to categorise this animal. It is clear though that your shot is pretty good! It has good composition, is sharp and the exposure is fine. Well done!

You've never heard of a red panda?? You have been missing out! I think they are the cutest little things... I love the position you've captured this guy in. Just lazin' around enjoying the weather, lol. Wonderful overall clarity and good job filling the frame.

Wow! This is a wonderful shot and you have captured this Red Panda perfectly. I love how relaxed he is and looking up at you with those eyes and with his ears up, mouth open watching your every move. Your focus sharp, his fur and markings so well defined and different colors so beautiful. The capture of the eyes to perfection with that catch light in them. What an awesome find and exquisite capture of this magnificent animal. Your photo is nicely framed and well composed. This is outstanding work and thanks for sharing!

It is not difficult at all to like your photos, and this one of the Red Panda comes high on the "cute list". I just love the totally relaxed pose, and also the eye contact you had with the animal. The background is just perfect and the Panda is standing out from it in the most excellent way.

Your focus on the face is spot on and sharp showing such clear and well defined details, and especially the eyes are well captured. It is nothing wrong with the exposure either.

The cropping you have done is perfect, and the animal is so well placed within the frame with the head off to the left. Indeed a beautiful and well taken photo, and with a very good DOF.

Wish I had a sixer for this grand fellow. Your camera techs just perfection. Great focus with fabulous detail. Wonderfully natural color and lighting as well so kudos on the exposure. It is the look upon his face that captures me perfectly. Wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

What a beautiful animal. The DOF is perfect, the entire body is very sharp and distinct. The fine detail of the fur is displayed throughout the body of the animal. Excellent camera technique. The pose is to die for. The color saturation is right where it should be throughout the frame. A very excellent piece ... B-)) Bob

A great pose. I think they like to sun themselves up in trees. I have seen them in this same pose at the Detroit Zoo. Great composition and fine colors.
