How very lovely this beautiful flower is. It seems to shine in the moonlight with a glow in its center.
Quite a magnificent catch at nighttime. It really shows it's warmth and beauty.

Beautiful shot of a beautiful flower! The colors are so soft, I thought this was a painting at first glance. There's a very intimate feel to your shot.

Isn't it funny Bill how we often think photos are paintings or vice-versa that paintings are good enough to be photos? I really enjoy photographing my flowers after dark b/c they have a softness about them then that I am not always able to photograph as well during the day. This guy here is much more stark in the daylight. So...do really appreciate you going back and having a look at this one and then giving it such a marvelous rating. Thank you so very much!!

Nice light, soft shades of purple and violet; good flower shape; nice work on the black to bring out the flower; this one is really nice 'cause it's in full bloom. Take care.

It's an '...in the evening' shot swimmer. I really like how different the flowers look at night. Always appreciate you having a look at my posts so thank you for checking this guy out and especially for the gold star you shared w/ it.

THIS is gorgeous! The focus is spot on -- but the softness ...almost silkiness is simply lovely. I love the soft colors. Also the diagonal elements to this photograph work in a couple of different ways. Well done!

That's exactly why I enjoy photographing my flowers at night too Nan. They have such a soft, lovely quality at night that often isn't visible during the day. So I really appreciate you mentioning that and, of course, the extra sparkle you shared w/ my post as well. Thank you so much for checking this one out.

This is absolutely gorgeous!! The light in the center is so flattering and brings that pure white to attention without being blown out. The texture and subtle lavender colors stand out nicely and I especially like the shimmer of the petals and of course the completely crisp and detailed filament and anthers of the flower. The cropping is artistic!

A "Gladiola Killer!" Well this may change things. I will reevaluate my opinion for sure. Although cruel and well...inhumane, at least you captured their "Life" (while it lasted...before their cruel Death). So I guess that redeems you.... some. So as a tribute to THEM, I will say that this is a great shot Deb. I really like the way you lit this (now DEAD) precious and innocent flower. It looks like a flashlight between the knees lighting technique. As always a fabulous photo Deb. Well done ~ Steve
