Only other one of these very cool guys I've seen Lise is one Michigan Mike posted. Loads of squirrels around my place but not these black ones.

Your kitchen window is for sure more sparkling clean than mine is...lol... Wonderful shot of this guy...love the way the light is hitting him from behind. Nice focus in the natural setting and a wonderful little sparkle in his eye. Nicely done!

OK shot, as it was taken through the window, which I read later explains the missing sharpness. A little crop from the right would put the squirrel on the third line of the rule of thirds which would make this image better in my opinion. Maybe make the squirrel a bit lighter? open the shadows a bit and sharpening afterwards. and you have a very good image.

This is a nice shot of a squirrel. I like how the blurred background helps to make him stand out. The focus is good, but I wish his face was just a little bit brighter. Still it's a very nice photo of a squirrel.

This is a lovely composition. The colours are all so harmonious and redolent of winter. I guess these black squirrels don't hibernate? Well done, looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Yep its hard to keep any squirrels away from easy pickings. In looking at your take it certainly looks well fed even allowing for winter coat. Good pose caught here with its well rehearsed cute look with tail up back and little paws together. Good photograph of this bushytail rodent.

I never heard of a black squirrel. The ones we have are gray with big bushy tails. This one is definitely eating well. Your lighting, focus and framing are excellent. Great job.

Quite a nice photo has been self composed in a tree. Unfortunately they squirrel has been left a little too dark. Exposure and sharpness otherwise are fine. Well done!

Nice shot here. Well composed withe the squirrel placed well in the frame. Nice use of aperture giving us that nice blurred background. Nice, natural colors. I would consider bringing up the shadows just on the squirrel a bit to bring out more detail. Well done.

It a fine shot with nice backlighting. A tad more light was Needed on his face which I would have adjusted in editing. But..You managed to get catch light in both eyes and we can see the cute pink at the tip of his nose.
Nice shooting through glass.

Lise,
A beautiful picture of the round little Black Squirrel it's fur puffed up against the cold as it watches your husband closely from it's perch above the back lighting adds that extra something. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
