Great capture of the three beautiful ducks balancing on one leg, looking as if they're about to perform the Can-Can. I like the angle you used for this, showing their shadows. Very good lighting and focus. Excellent composition. Suzanne

Chuck,
A wonderful picture of the Canada Geese perched on the bank facing you as they stand one leg as if they were practicing for a Circus act. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

LOL...love it Chuck. That is the PERFECT title for this piece.

You know I am still trying to figure out why they do this....stand on one leg. At any rate, your photo is crisp and sharp on the 'can-can trio' Well exposed w/ good color but I'd like it even if it weren't just b/c you titled it so well! Still smiling.

Deborah

Here's why they do it " The lack of insulation in the lower extremities causes a decrease in body temperature. A goose lifting one foot allows the lifted leg to be closer to the bird's central body heat and warm feathers, which causes the body temperature to bump back up."

when passerby's stop by to see what your doing you should act like your at a photo shoot and start saying.."thats it girls act sexy! gimme some attitude now!" lolol. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the 3 birds posing is great. the capture of the light is great.. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall. now throw them some bread..wink

Yes, I have certainly enjoyed looking at your shot. Makes me wonder if they were rehearsing something? Your shot has good composition, its sharp and benefits from good exposure. Well done!

What a wonderful capture of these three, they seem to be consciously posing for you. LOL. Great detail, fantastic color - nice and natural and wonderful lighting. I find it grandly interesting that all three have lifted legs! Well done. Thanks for sharing.
