This guy does camouflage well with the dirt. It's a really cute capture. I like the view of peering at him in the hole. Lucky to have seen this little one nestled in that way, even with the dog's help :)

A rare find! Perfect timing of seeing this one waiting for mosquitoes to hover by so he could snap them quick with his sticky tongue!
Selective focusing with the main subject in clear focus.
Nice camouflage effect of the monochromatic hole interior.
Best of luck in the contest! Thanks for sharing...

The kind of Toad in a Hole I like tastes delicious. I don't want to eat this one. At least he has a place to keep warm. Very creative. Good focus, lighting and framing.

Looking down on him like makes for a great line of the eye. The cropping is nice and his camouflage is perfect. Good luck in the voting.

Wow that is pretty well hidden! they play dead well too so you can never tell what's going on with them. Brilliant clarity and focus but so obscure it's hard to see what's what! (I suppose that's the toads's whole idea lol). Great picture.

Cool! : )
It might not qualify as being a 'cute' animal or a 'technically excellent' photograph but I'm enjoying your presentation of this highly regarded and popular ( in certain Occult circles ) 'Magical Animal' making use of another creature's burrow!
'Good Show',my friend!

What a cool journalistic find with this toad all camouflaged out. I like your from above vantage of taking the shot and the focus on the eye so we're sure to not miss him.
