These are some of the earliest flowers to blossom in my gardens Mike. I have a solid burgundy one and two lime green ones but I have never seen both colors together in one blossom like this. It is really lovely.
Nice focus and just gorgeous color here. Perfect exposure too. Oh I am so envious...it will be a couple of months anyway before mine even start to flower. Enjoy seeing yours though. These, btw, are the most expensive little plants I have ever purchased.

Many thanks Deborah for your kind review and comments - much appreciated. These are in abundance this year but frustratingly always have their heads pointing downwards. I have not been able to ascertain why this is, but the only way to photograph them is to pose them using the natural foliage surrounding to hold them in place! Mike

Yes Mike...most of mine point downwards too. I have some PERFECT photos of them except my fingers are also in the photo....lol...NOT my idea of a perfect flower photo! You did a good job 'posing' this guy and most welcome for the review. I will try again in a couple of months to photograph mine WITHOUT including my hands in the photo.

looks like the flower saw ya coming and wanted to pose for ya. wink. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of the colorful flower is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

A beautiful shot with great colors. I like the detail in the petals although there is a bit of fall off in the upper left. The cropping is excellent and the natural background is attractive.
