Suzanne,
A beautiful & very colourful picture of the sea bed in a rock pool I can see the sea-weed moving about, with the movement of the water. Created with an artist's eye for composition & an ability to see pictures painted with great skill & choice of realistic colours & knowing where to place them. It's just beautiful.

I have to admit that I don't usually like abstract paintings but I love this one. The colors are beautiful and it does look like they are underwater! Thank you so much for sharing this. Happycamper

Many thanks for your great review. Yes, I'm with you on that - I don't often like abstracts and don't paint them very often but sometimes it's fun just to have a play with paint. I'm glad you like this one. Suzanne

    Your welcome, Suzanne.

Wow Suzanne, you did it again! I love this one too. The beauty of abstracts is that everyone can see something different. To me, this looks like the view of a Spring garden through a fogged-up window on a rainy day. The blue-gray, cloudy skies at the top, and the colorful garden below. Well done!

That's an attractively colorful creation and it really does have an interesting 'underwater' look to it!

I do think it looks like an underwater scene from far away. Love the colors and the dimensions it shows. I can almost see yes but no bodies. That would have made it better with some real looking fish. Thanks for sharing.

You are so creative w/ those water colors Suzanne. I really enjoy that you explain your methods so well.

And I think you're right....this DOES look like an explosion of underwater color. Particularly like the splotches of reds and yellows. I'd never heard of sprinkling grains of salt onto the paper but I really like this so must be doing that is a good thing...lol However you do it it is very cool!!

Many thanks, Deborah, for your lovely review. Yes, it's good fun to experiment with colours and if you drop grains of different sized salt on to the colours you can get some really interesting patterns. Of course, you don't have any control of the result so it's a case of try and hope! Suzanne

Well your 'try and hope' turned out beautifully Suzanne. Most very welcome for the review.

its great to experiment especially if you get results like this...very creative and effective palette and i can see the correlation with the sea bed probably more so caribbean rather than the United Kingdom..lol

I am out of sixes Suzanne..But this is worth far more. I always love the solitude that living near the Ocean offers. I have always lived near the beach and can't imagine ever living any place else.
I love the colors, textures and the way you truly created an abstract of what it looks like Under the sea.
Arielle the Mermaid would approve of this lovely painting.
Well done!

Thank you so much for your lovely review Sange. Yes, I live by the sea in the UK so this painting isn't like our sea here, just what I imagine it to be like in warmer climes! Suzanne

This is very nice Suzanne. I recently was in the Galapagos and did some snorkeling. And your title is so accurate. Certain parts of the ocean bottom look very much like this when looking through a mask. The more I look at this the more I like it. very nicely done Suzanne ~ Steve

Thanks so much, Steve, for your lovely review. I live in the UK by the North Sea so this is nothing like that - just what I imagine it must be like to snorkel in warmer waters - something I've never done. Suzanne
