This is interesting looking birds. He has unusual colors and markings that stand out well in this image. I like that you caught him singing with his mouth wide open. The branches look nice and you were able to get a nice shot without them being distracting.

Yes, Mike, certainly do remember the "Birdie Song"! I can just hear it now coming from the beak of this pretty little Starling. They do have such lovely coloured feathers and you've shown them well in this shot as he peeks from between the stalks. I like all the patterns shown here. Very good lighting and focus showing excellent clarity. Great composition. Suzanne

Great shot. Is the bird a starling? Your capture is stunning. The bird has a great pose, with it's beak open. The initial impact, of color, light, and subject are amazing.
Do you mean the bird song that is sung at parties and weddings?

It is a nice capture, looks good, but I don't know if it is the site here: I feel the image is not sharp? I am just not sure about it.

To me he looks like he wants someone to plop a big worm right in his mouth. What beautiful colors on his feathers and I like the white dots at the tips. Great composition with the branches surrounding him. Focus is excellent. Amazing it was taken through glass. Well done.

I probably would if I could hear a bit of it! Like your composition which quickly draws the eye to the bird. Is it a starling? Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done!

Thank you very much for your kind review and comments - very much appreciated. The song and dance was quite popular in the early 80's especially in Europe (Spain in particular). Yes it is a Starling.
