Oh wonderful image of this guy Grace....and really good notes...THAT is always a pleasure.
Excellent crisp, sharp focus on this guy....perfectly exposed. Nice job w/ that black fur! You caught some marvelous little sparkle in those eyes too. Love the frame filling style here. You are doing fabulous work w/ your animal shots Grace. This is a really well put together image.

This wolf looks indeed big, but mot bad at all. It has a somewhat bad impression in its pose and the look of the eyes. Maybe its just the white hairs between the black, but to me it looks like the wolf is going old and tired.
Nevertheless, it is a well taken photo. The colors look natural, the animal is in good focus with well defined detail. The wolf-portrait is also well balanced and framed.

Wonderful lazy appearance as if to say "Not another photographer". Wonderful detail bringing out every hair on its body and face. The eyes are having a good stare at us. Looks like an elder specimen with his grey beard. Good take.

Your colors, lighting, and well defined details of the fur and facial features are excellent. The sharp clear eyes just draw you right into this photo. A beautiful close up of the black Timber Wolf with it's greying muzzle & those eyes watching you closely. The light gleaming off it's shiny coat. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

I was howling for my grandson today :) I had painted eight silver reflecting animals on canvases for his nursery when he was born and today we were looking at them and naming the animals and I was howling like the wolf :)
I always appreciate the Atta Girls - thank you!
-
Ha!! Grace... Your a cool grandma and I am glad I know you better away from these cyber walls.
Your my kind of Human!
:)
-
Thank you. the feeling is mutual! Oh, and he laughed so cute when I howled, so I have a feeling I will be howling a lot more in the near future :)

You certainly have an interesting subject for photography here! Your full and central composition's very appropriate. Exposure and sharpness are fine. The pupils in the eye's suggest that your subject is on the verge of sleep. Well done!

I don't get much opportunity to see animals like this in the wild so I spend a lot of time at the zoo in the winter. This guy was behind a fence and glass with several other wolves at the MN zoo. He was the only black wolf. I keep saying he when I think it is actually female because of the white on the neck but I couldn't verify that.
Thank you for your nice comments and rating on this guy/gal :)
