Good choice on use of B&W for this typical Cornish town built up from sea level. Well used by yachtsmen and all types of boatmen by look of well scattered sea going transport.Nice long view looking out to sea under mixed sky. The lone seagull is perfectly placed.

A great decision to render this scene in black and white. It gives a feeling of drama and starkness. This is an example of the rule of thirds as the foreground boats and beach are back dropped by the hill of the town flowing in from the left all surrounded by the sky. The bird finishes the composition very nicely. Well done my friend ~ Steve

I think you did an amazing job on this photo. The black and white effect gives a much more dramatic feel, and I think it shows off the lighting much more. Your focus and framing are excellent as well. You did an amazing job :) Well done and thanks for sharing :)

This is an interesting rendering. Without the distraction by many colors, the conversation to black and white brings out the diversity of the many boats on the river. The photo is well compost. The curve of the river leads our eyes into the dept of the landscape. It is not easy top take a photo where the sky is mostly covered with white clouds, because there is the danger of blow out. You avoided those blow outs and also shot at the right time. The bird is a nice addition among the clouds.

Excellent monochromic photo of the River Fowey and see where it empties into the English Channel. Enjoy all the boats as must be low tide. Thank You for sharing,

A nicely captured black and white shot of Cornwall seascape with the narrow estuary filled with an array of boats which helps define its actual size.A nice balance between sky land and sea

Black and white does have such a different perspective. Excellent composition with your angle drawing our eyes out to the ocean and to the city on the opposite shore. The seagull is perfect. Well done.

Nice angle of shot and excellent depth of field, but the sky is too bright and distracting

try to decrease the brightness on the sky

thanks for sharing

Wonderful capture and the black and white change works very well for me. You have given a grand look at the river and at the sky - focus is fabulous. The image is a bit challenging for me because of course I am trying to figure out what kind of bird that is. LOL Looks very large when I compare it to the boats... then of course I'm absorbed by figuring out the angle to your shot with the grand detail over the river and boats. :-)) Guess I'm having a morning moment. LOL Thanks for sharing this fabulous shot... humor me and tell me what kind of bird that is please! :-))
