Nik,
A beautiful picture of this busy Cornish estuary Port with the little boat moored along it 7 one small yacht with it's sail up near the far shore, with a gull in flight overhead under the cloudy sky with the sun struggling to break through. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
Don't tell a Cornishman it's part of England, it's like telling a Weshman, Wales it's part of England....joined to it BUT not part of it...
I lived in Cornwall for several years & was told off several times!

A beautiful scene in B&W that could date back to the 60's with it's authenticity - lovely detail and clarity of all the little boats floating on the river with the view heading out to the ocean. A solo seagull gives the token flyover, and great and interesting detail on the bank on the other side of the river - really great photo.

This could be, in my opinion, a very good image by making the clouds in the sky a bit more dramatic.
For my feeling it is a bit dull now. But then again I like to van my B&W very dramatic and that is not everybody's cup of tea

This is so beautiful! I love the depth of field and the point of view from which you've taken this shot. The perfect elements to this are that you converted into B&W and the placement of the seagull in the sky could not be better! Very good job!!

It seems to be a very busy river indeed,Nikman, and your monochromatic photo of this section of it has something of an Antique look to it that I'm finding very enjoyable!
'Good Show',my friend!

This is a great take in B&W.
Your camera technique is excellent. You held the focus to infinity. Details of the boats is excellent as is the town on the far shore.
Composition and framing compliment each other nicely.
I also like how you included the seagull in flight.
You covered all the photo points very well indeed ... B-)) Bob

This looks like a very vintage photo...much older than 2013. I think your treatment of B&W and the light and shadows you have captured have made this scene timeless. It could be decades ago...or it could be yesterday.. Excellent work and a pleasure to view.

I can just imagine how panoramic this image is in the colored version!
Impressive sharply focused b&w rendition with fine features and excellent tonal range.
That lone bird must be nearer as it looks bigger than some of the boats.
Leveled horizon and no blown out clouds.
Nice perspective with long depth of field...

I like this. Initially, I thought there was too much sky --- but I think the vacant sky (with the one[!] bird) works very well to show the congestion of the river. Very nice find!
