Hi Susan,

Nice image and a good exposure.

I feel that you can improve on the composition a bit by cropping the right side just till the tree. That part does, I think, nothing for the photo.

For the rest a good shot though

Thanks for sharing
Theo

    Theo,
    Thanks a million for your complementary review.
    It's one of my favorite views across the city & just fifteen minutes away in a car.

Very nice photo. I like how the city lights looks more like sunlight reflecting off of water. The sky looks a bit grainy to me. Thank you for sharing this very fine photo.

This is a truly lovely photo catching the silhouette of the trees in the foreground wonderfully against the evening sky, and the golden glowing lights of the city below. Great lighting and positioning, a really nice photo - great work!!!!

A beautiful scene with fantastic light in the sky that is beautifully reflected on the bay. I like the trees but might crop off (or clone out) the partial on the left edge.

    Mike,
    Thanks a million for your great review.
    It's one of my favorite views over the city & only 15 minutes away in the car
    I see what you mean about the tree on the left..I'd have to crop it as my cloning usually dis-improves the situation.
    Somehow the trees look better in photos like this when they are bare branched rather than in full leaf.

Your composition and dof are wonderful. Love the details of the leafless trees. Sky and city give depth to the picture. Thank you for sharing. Happycamper

a good night shot with the silhouetted trees in the fg;
maybe better to crop the empty space on the right and some sky, to get a closer view of the city;

    Fred,
    Merci beaucoup mille fois for your review.
    The city was just a blaze of light that hide many features (Even the "twin Towers" were hidden). On a thin misty night just before nightfall when NOT all the lights are blazing you get a better view.

Hi Susan

It looks like the horizon is ablaze in this one with the granular nature of the sky giving the impression of billowing smoke. Lovely shot with the trees in the middle ground. Thanks for sharing! R
