Nice black and white conversion, fine close tight crop and nice eye clarity. Focus is a tad soft on those whiskers Mike..Would love to have them sharper.

I really like the close and personal approach, and I also think the photo looks great in black and white. It is amazing how gentle and kind these big cats look when they are relaxed like this. I think especially the textures of the fur are well brought out.
Your focus is nice and sharp but I wish you had used a less shallow DOF to also get the whiskers sharper. I do however appreciate that it was the eyes you were going for, and it is nothing wrong with the exposure.
The tight cropping works well, and the animal's face is well placed within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Mike, and I wish you luck with the contest.
