Really long shot on this one. Focus, lighting and dof are all very established. Are those rock formations. Come to think of it, I have never seen a desert or anything like this. It looks very peaceful but yet desolate. Very nice landscape shot and thanks for sharing. It would be heck to have the water pump go out.

I love this part of the world. The angle of the road and the position the car on it are better than classic composition. The texture of the clouds is a wonder of skill. Depth of field with all those tumble weeks or whatever is great. You have a book in this desert collection of yours. Thanks. you've made my evening. Superb and subtle, complementary colors everywhere in your frame.

Well you have definitely captured the grandeur of the spot Nik....boy we live in such a beautiful country, don't we!

Like the way you've titled your piece. Nicely framed too....that long, winding road off to the hills in the distance really shows the vastness of the area. Colors are wonderful....all so natural looking. Caught a quite fabulous sky as well. Image is well exposed. I'd like it even better w/o the car...lol...but then I live out in the woods and don't often have to see them.

Nicely put together piece Nik.

Deborah

I have seen expansive landscape like this in New Mexico and Utah, and your photo is very pleasing. The road adds important interest and eye movement for the viewer. Can't decided if I like the car or not, but it DOES add scale and that's a good thing!

The country side and vastness is very similar to parts of Australia, have traveled many kilometers on dirt tracks like this - great perspective to show the open space with the famous Monument Sandstone Buttes in background. Nicely done. :) Mary

Nice...all the colors have the warmth that one expects if we were standing next to you while you captured this. The cloudy sky is a plus for sure...giving you a filtered light instead of the bright sun beating down.

Your framing is perfection..with the diagonal road. The lone car tells the story that each viewer can imagine on their own. Nice work!
