What a great Christmas card this would make. Perfect composition and balance. The tracks running through it adds interest. Living where you do, I bet you're always well supplied... just in case. Great photo.

Oh you definitely got that right Gail....lol.....for example, my road was never plowed until last night so it's been days since I was able to get out. It's fine w/ me though since I just LOVE where I live. Do appreciate you checking out my new post and thank you for the lovely review of it.

This kind of weather is also very typical for Norway. I can see snowdrops coming out at the front of the house, so I am just sitting here waiting for the snow. LOL I do however have to admit that the outcome looks lovely, just like your photo is showing. The tracks from the car are bringing us right into winter wonder land.

Your photo is crisp and clear and it is sharp and well defined details in the snow covered trees, and both the white balance and exposure is spot on.

The format and framing works so well with one big pine tree on each side, and it is a very good balance in the composition. Indeed a beautiful and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

I rarely complain about winter av.....like you, I so appreciate how lovely it can be around here . But I have to admit that by mid-March I am just a bit over the beauty of it and am more anxious for spring. Anyway, I do always appreciate your so well done reviews and thank you so much for having a look at my new post.

A beautiful woodland scene. I like the sharp detail in the trees despite the falling snow. Great colors and beautiful composition.

I gotta tell you, these images of yours have me running to find a heavy coat. LOL This is fabulous with just the grandest capture of the snow over the frame. Perfect white with just the greatest detail. Wonderful details over the frame as well. Those trees are amazing. Wish I saw this from my back window. (maybe 3 or 4 days a year...LOL) Thanks for sharing this fabulous landscape moment!

Surprisingly Debi it really wasn't that cold. Well, lol, that IS subjective I suppose b/c 'not that cold' means in the 20's to me....at least this time of year that is. I keep telling people here that I live in heaven....I think some of them are starting to believe me. Do appreciate you checking this one out and thank you so much Debi for a really marvelous review of it.

Yeah,Deb!
Tuesday's storm was an intense late Winter 'Snow Dumper' ( and it was more intense for you guys up to the northeast than for us 'New Nederlanders' down here in the lower Adirondacks! ) but just remember that the Vernal Equinox happens this coming Monday and look at all that bright March sunshine out there today! : )
( and that's an interesting photo too! 'Good Show',my friend! )

No March sun today Sean....overcast all day but hey...it wasn't snowing so I'm a happy girl about that!! I always get antsy for spring by this time of winter.....I won't even mind the mud this year....lol. Always enjoy your reviews Sean and thanks so much for checking this new post out.

For some crazy reason this scene reminds me of Christmas. I think it would be a great Christmas Card.

We didn't get nearly as much snow as yawl did. But then it is hard to tell up here in flat open farm country. Lots of blowing snow and drifting - into my driveway.

Take heart in the fact that it's just 'sugar snow' and will be gone in before July 4th.

There is something so photogenic about new snow and falling snow. You have captured the sense of that exceptionally well.

All camera factors are splendid. Color balance and range is awesome.

Including the four wheeler tracks lends an air of mystery to the take.

Deb, kudos for a fine take on late Winter ... B-)) Bob

lol...I keep taking these images that I think THIS will be the Christmas card for next year or THIS will be the image for December on next year's calendar Bob.....I'm afraid I will end up w/ more images than there are proper months to use them on at this rate....lol

Fortunately you are right about the sugar snow....thank goodness too...it took me two days to shovel the path out to the wood shed....if the snow had been wet and heavy...well, I may never have made it and I might just have froze the rest of the winter!! That's a wonderful review you gave my newest snowy scene.....thank you so very much for your kind words. Am always so pleased to see a review from you!

That's a true pretty Winter scene. Looks so nice with the bright white on the trees; the sky is just dark enough to add the right contrast; good focus; be careful on your four wheeler; I had one once. They were fun. Take care.

I have been gently scolded swimmer for not wearing a helmet....lol.... During the winter anyway I try not to go too fast. I'm more in danger of hitting something when I'm in the woods. Anyway, always appreciate you having a look at my new posts and thank you so very much for the extra sparkle you shared w/ this one!

Another cool capture...
Snow covered pines look like it's still Christmas in your place while here, the plants are wilting from too much heat!
Fine features & soft textures.
Good illumination from a slightly overcast sky.
Visually balanced composition.
Good perspective & long depth of field... Thanks for sharing...
