A very nice composition. I like the colors and the dappled light on his face catches his eye just right. A fine shot with great eye contact.

he is looking over like he is saying.."oh I did tell you I know kung fu right?". lol. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of the panda is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

I have only seen Pandas in photos or television...Never up close at a zoo.
You managed to get some nice flight in the one eye and nice focus.
I may have traced the other eye and Lighten it up in editing.
Nice full body shot of this sweet Panda

Oh the Panda has just got to be the cutest of the bear family I think Mary. Wonderful notes w/ these two images. Always appreciate knowing a little something about the images people post.

I like seeing him in his natural environment here. Your focus on him is pretty good....a bit of a challenge w/ the shadows but looks like you handled that nicely. Colors are excellent....I love the richness of the greens in front of Wang Wang. It's well exposed except for his nose....definitely a bit over-exposed on the white there (the shadows I mentioned earlier probably didn't help w/ that...lol) You don't mention if this was cropped or not but if it was it's just a tad tight along upper frame.

Such fun though to see animals I will never see where I live though Mary. Nicely put together piece here.

Thanks Deborah for your in depth comments - yeah tried to fix exposure on nose without success, framing was my new lens issue more than cropping amazing how a different lens seemed to change parameters or maybe just me....perfect excuse for going back and trying again. You will have to save your $'s and make a trip out to this amazing country sometime. Cheers Mary

He's a strong and easy looking fellow. I think I remember reading about the challenges these Pandas have breeding in captivity. Hope he gets lucky! LOL Great capture my friend with wonderful detail and grand lighting. The colors fantastically natural. Wonderful - thanks for sharing.

Thanks Debi, yes they have a lot of challenges but these two are still pretty young so plenty of time to keep trying. :) Mary

A better image of WangWang in full view.
Nice interplay of lights and shades.
Quite blown out on his nose.
A bit tight on top.
Verdant surrounding lends a natural setting.
Thanks for sharing...

Yes, your lovely panda is quite a size! Like your composition which indicates that he does have quite a nice natural area to move around in. Sharpness and exposure are fine. Well done!
