Great up close photo. I just wish that I could see this photo from the side, maybe to see the expression on it's face The squirrel though is so clean, clear and crisp. Great job. Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome. Our tree in our yard was cut down. It was truly a monster and had to go. No more squirrels for us. I will have to check out some of your other photos.

A nicely composed shot with the squirrel well placed along the diagonal. The colors are excellent but I think it is important to show the eye and that is why I prefer a profile whenever possible.

Nice capture from the back. I've never seen a squirrel with a orange stripe down it's back. The angle of the branch gives an interesting perspective. Excellent focus, lighting and framing.

Great photograph of the squirrel in the tree. I like how you were able to focus in on the squirrel and pick up the red stripe on his back and tail with good detail and fading the background of the woods into a nice backdrop.

This is a beautiful shot of the squirrel eating sap from the tree. (I had no idea) Your framing is good and photo is well composed. Nice sharp focus, good lighting, fine details of the fur. Your perfect DOF adding to the beauty of your overall shot. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing!

Aw what an amazing and fun picture, I didn't know squirrels have a sweet tooth for sap! Beautiful clarity and DOF causing the 3 greys to work well together, very sharp and well positioned photo, shame about the few branches in the way in the foreground! love it.

Very cute, but the fact that I can only see the squirrel back and also the bright and distracting background takes from the initial impact and the rte

Lise,
A great picture of this litle squirrel clambering up the Maple tree in search for it's sweet sap flowing down the branch ahead of it. Beautiful compositon, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

liseworks - They are simply amazing. I have a Sugar Maple in my back yard and like you each season there they are. One year I taped the tree. One afternoon I went to collect the sap and in the bucket was a very wet and annoyed Red Squirrel .

Your camera settings are spot on excellent.

DOF, composition and framing tell a good story.

A very well thought out take on nature ... B-)) Bob
