Hi Cleo, Love the darkness in this image it really brings an Intensity to what happened here! The image is SO strong that I don't think you even needed to add the shadow. The darkness of the image has a message of its own. Great Job of making his image stand out! Just had to give you 6 Stars! :o) Helvi

Thank you very much for you encouraging review and rating. I added the shadow to make the connection to what had happened in the place 181 years ago.

Oh, my gosh...so glad you mentioned the soldier masked in the picture. NOW I see him. So well conceived and created! And converting to sepia tone gives one a real sense of time and history.
Very nice conceptualized work!

Wow, what a creative process and the results are interesting. I really like the way the man's shadow turned out and the textures of the building are very attractive. The leaves framing the scene are also attractive.

Very good entry for the contest, Cleo and interesting notes accompanying this. I like the angle you used for this and the effects, showing the different shadows. Very good lighting and focus and great composition. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

I really like this photo, I immediately notice the clear silhouette of the soldier. I like the sepia as well. The plants on the bottom left remind me of plants with fuzzy leaves. Great job, thanks for sharing.

I like the use of sepia in this image. The inlay of the frontiersman, who could be Davey Crockett, adds a ghostly erriness to the photo. Nice historical capture and inlaying.

Informative historical notes.
Impressive sepia rendition lends an antiquated look.
Vintage image in tall format.
Excellent tonal range.
Nice capture of the window grill features & wall rough textures.
Subdued lighting & compact framing.

Best of luck in the contest!
Thanks for sharing...
