Beautiful monarch.
Great vibrant and beautiful coloring of the flower and the monarch.
The green leaf really lets the monarch stand out. Great focus and framing. Great job on this beautiful guy

Now this butterfly I am familiar with as I live in California. Different perspective with it being upside-down with its wings closed. Excellent focus and detail. And what and unusual flower. Beautiful.

You have indeed captured this butterfly well Fred, and even the flowers look lovely. Together with the butterfly they are standing out from the green foliage in an excellent way.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing really clear and well defined details in every part of the butterfly, and the exposure is perfect.
It is nothing wrong with the cropping either. and the butterfly has got a very fine placement within the frame. This is a truly lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

Nice focus on the monarchs head and body. On the wings, they are flat and colorless. What really grabs the center of attention are the flowers and leaves as they are brighter and more colorful. Thanks for sharing.
