Thanks Grace wonderful experience and glad lens has vibration reduction as it is very emotional and difficult to hold camera steady. Emily is only one minute old here ☺

I know the nerves were pulsing like crazy! My first grandchild was born 19 months ago and I will never forget the feeling or the event. So amazing.

Thanks Fred she was born at home, a pool birth in family room with midwife assisting. Very difficult to take photos at such an emotional moment . ☺

Wonderful capture, Mary, of a very special moment. How lovely that you could be there. I was present at the birth of one of my grandchildren - my daughter's son - who lived in New Zealand at the time, seven years ago. She had wanted to have a pool birth like your daughter but unfortunately wasn't able to as baby had moved into breech position and couldn't be turned.

I like that you used black and white for this lovely shot as it emphasizes the light and shade. Such a beautiful view of the love between mother and baby. Excellent lighting and focus. Beautiful composition. Suzanne

Hahahaha don't think I can get her to give birth again this is less than 1 minute after being born - still in birth pool so no choice with lighting. Thanks for your feedback. :) Mary
